Mary Emeline Martin was born to David Welcome and Rachael Osborne Martin. She was the wife of Robert Marion Northcott. They married January 3, 1884 in Grayson County, Tx. They had 4 chldren: Verda Irene born 18 Jan. 1885, Richard Odis born July 1, 1889, John David Martin born March 31, 1893, and James Rufus born Sept. 9, 1898. All of their children were born in Grayson County.
She became very ill and was taken to Grand Prairie, Tx. to be cared for by her family there. She died around Grand Prairie and is buried in the Sower Cemetery 3101 W. Pioneer Dr. Irving, Tx 75061. She doesn't have a marker, but we know she is buried there. Her granddaughter, Oma Dee Northcott, will be 104 years old in Oct. 2022 and she remembers hearing that Della Northcott had been buried in June of 1914. The family took Mary and buried her beside Della Northcott. We are not really sure how they are related but we know there is a connection.
