Deseret News, The (Salt Lake City, UT) - March 20, 2003. Obituary: Lee Bryant Croft, 6/2/47 ~ 3/18/03. Lee Bryant Croft, 55, passed away March 18, 2003 in Goodyear, Arizona. Lee will be remembered always as a loving husband, father, son, brother, grandfather and friend, and for his wry sense of humor, his keen intelligence, his sense of discovery, and his wise judgment.
Lee was born June 2, 1947, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Bryant Heiner and Gene Beth Hubbard Croft. He married Kristine Adele Donkin, August 6, 1970, in the Salt Lake Temple. Lee graduated from Highland High School in 1965, in Salt Lake City. He graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Utah in electrical engineering in 1969. At the University of Utah he was a member of the Eta Kappa Nu Engineering Honor Society, the Intercollegiate Knights, and Beta chapter of Lambda Delta Sigma. He got his master's degree in electrical engineering from Syracuse University. He worked as a defense systems design engineer for General Electric, Goodyear Aerospace, Loral, and Lockheed Martin. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (Mormon) Copperwood Ward, and served in many church positions, including Cubmaster, CTR Primary teacher, and secretary of the High Priests' quorum. He loved karate, having attained a third dan black belt, and enjoyed being a line judge for the U.S. Swimming Association, assisting the Glendale Swimming Gauchos. He also loved hunting and fishing.

Lee is survived by his wife; daughter Dana (Andrew) Palmer, Lebanon, Ohio; son Devin Lee Croft, Minneapolis, Minnesota; daughter Ashley Nicole Croft, Glendale, Arizona; mother, Salt Lake City, Utah; sister Barbara (Philip) Terry, Salt Lake City, Utah; and his darling granddaughter Megan Kathleen Palmer.

Preceded in death by his father, and a sister, Sarah Ann. Friends may greet the family at a viewing Thursday, March 20, 2003, 7:00-9:00 p.m. at The Chapel of the Chimes Mortuary, 7924 North 59th Avenue, Glendale, Arizona, 85301, 1-623-937-9297. The funeral will be Friday, March 21, at 10:00 a.m., Copperwood Ward of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (Mormon), 5201 West Thunderbird Road, Glendale, Arizona, 85306. Friends may call one hour before the service.
