Floyd Wesley Ausborn, 94, died Wednesday, March 31, 2004, at his residence in Abilene.
Floyd was born to Emma Elizabeth Durham and William Thomas Ausborn on August 20, 1909, in Frost, Texas, and moved to Abilene from Fisher County in 1931.
He worked as a farmer and rancher for the John Guitar Trust Estate for 19 years.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Edith Viola Ausborn, on April 19, 1992; and two daughters - Hazel Farris (d. 1975) and Wilma McIntire (d. 1989.).
Survivors include a son Floyd Thomas Ausborn of Abilene; 7 daughters - Inez Haney of Ridgecrest, California, Eloise Elrod and Husband, J. T., Jean Pritchett and husband Weldon, and Beatrice Danials, all of Abilene, Sue Reeves and husband Tom of Buffalo Gap, Marida Faulks and husband Tommy of Hawley, and Debra Powers and husband Michael of Odessa; a sister Viola Lang of Abilene, 30 grandchildren; 59 great grandchildren; and 20 great great grandchildren.
