Helen, age 101, passed away at The Altoona Nursing and Rehab Center on Friday, March 29, 2013. Per Helen's request the body has been cremated and no service is planned.
Helen was born December 30, 1911 in Sioux City, IA to her parents Perry and Carrie Groves. Helen was preceded in death by her parents, her siblings and her husband Louie H. Edwards Sr. Helen lived most of her life in Des Moines. Upon her husband's retirement they moved to Mountain Home, Arkansas, where they enjoyed twenty years of travel and retirement living.
Helen is survived by her sons, Jim (Marjorie) of Altoona; Bill (Chan-Ming) of Green Valley, AZ; two grandsons, Kevin (Brenda), Ryan (Tammy); granddaughters, Brook and Brin; great-grandson, Zachery.
