Charles Henry Foster was born near Little Hawken, Ohio, Feb. 8, 1867, & departed this life at his home 3 miles south of Hamburg, IL, July 3, 1934, at the age of 67 years, 4 months & 25 days. He moved, when a small boy, with his parents to the vicinity of Atlas, IL, where he grew to manhood. He was united in marriage with Lucinda Bensinger December 21, 1891 & about 2 years later moved near Hamburg where he spent his remaining years on the farm, rearing a family of 10 children unto manhood & womanhood. He was always of a cheerful disposition & a loving & kind father. He united with the Church of Christ at the Indian Creek congregation in November 1921 & lived faithful to the end serving as Elder until death. He became ill early last fall but all that medical skill & loving hands could do for him was of no avail & on July 3rd 1934, the death angel entered his home & called his soul on to await the resurrection morn.
