Betty Jeanne Lovan Iverson, born on June 8, 1938 in St. Louis, Missouri passed away Thursday, April 4, 2002 at a local Hospice Center. Beloved mother of Terry Iverson (Kathy), Kelly Pollock (Dave), and Todd Hughes. Grandmother of Britton, Lindsay and Cameron. Survived by sister Virginia Winterburn.
Betty loved and touched many with her vibrant personality. Betty was a full time Jacksonville resident since 1968. Prior to then she lived in Chicago, IL. Betty grew up in Jacksonville and attended Landon High School (56). She also attended Florida State University, where she was a Seminole cheerleader. After completing her education at The College of Medical Assistants of Jacksonville, Bettys career consisted of various positions as both a medical assistant and credit collector. Bettys love throughout her life were both music and dance.
She will be cremated with private services held in Springfield, Missouri sometime early this summer. Betty was preceded in death by her parents Marshall and Nadine Lovan. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to The American Cancer Society, 4030 Boulevard Center Drive, Jacksonville, FL.
