Mary Boccardi of Haverstraw died Thursday July 3, 2008 at Northern Riverview Nursing Home. She was 101. Mary was born in Naples, Italy on May 19, 1907 to Sisto and Maria Vinci. She was a lifetime member of St. Peters Church and the Marian Shrine and held devotion for the Blessed Mother and the Lord. She loved gardening and her pets. Mary is survived by her daughter-in-law Catherine Boccardi. Grandchildren Cathleen and Steve Bocchino, Lorraine Boccardi and her husband Edward Soto, Laurie Boccardi, her grandchildren Steven Bocchino, Mellissa,Jennifer,and Christina Suarez, Michael and Katelyn Matos, Edward, Amanda and Anthony Soto, Jessica Boccardi. Her great-great granddaughter Jocelyn and adopted grandson Lance Beal. She is also survived by her sisters Helen Andiloro, Corrine Peliggi, Clara Heitczman, Sister-in-laws Gloria Kistnet, Ruth Vinci, Jean Vinci and many nieces and nephews.
