Nettie May Johnson, 98, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, April 1, 2013. Graveside services will be held on Saturday, April, 6, 2013 at 3:30 p.m. at Macon Memorial Park Cemetery with Pastor Ed Chambliss officiating. The family will greet friends from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. at the graveside. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Mikado Baptist Church, Building Fund or Mission Fund, 6751 Houston Road, Macon GA 31216.
She was born in Macon, Georgia to the late Riley and Nettie Herrington. She was preceded in death by her husband, Marshall Henry Johnson, Jr., and her son, Oliver Russell Johnson. Mrs. Johnson was the oldest living member of the original Mikado Baptist Church for over seventy five years and was a charter member of the GYP Group. She was a devoted Christian mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
