Likely the son of Margherita (Inguglia) Valenziano and her first husband Joseph Giglio, and the brother of Joseph & Bartolo "William" Giglio (both listed with surname "Valenziana" in the 1900 census at 810 1/2 Battery Street).

Originally buried in Mount Calvary Cemetery (SF/defunct), in a plot purchased by "Angela Ingurglia" in Jun 1877 for "Giuseppe Gigulio." Removed & re-interred at the general reburial area of Holy Cross (H 7 28 6) on 23 May 1940, along with 3 others.

"[A Boy Drowned] A sad drowning accident occurred in the bay near Mission-street wharf 1 at about 5 o'clock Thursday afternoon. Vincent Gallis, aged about 14 years, and living at 718 Battery street, was out in a small rowboat with two other youngsters. Off the wharf named the boat capsized, and all three were thrown into the water. His two companions were saved by the watchman of the steamer General McDowell, but Gallis was drowned. His body was recovered yesterday and taken to the Morgue."

"[Drowned While Sailing] The body of a boy was taken to the Morgue yesterday. It is that of Bartholomew Valenciano, aged fourteen years, who resided at 817 Battery street. With several companions the boy went sailing Thursday evening, and the boat capsized, all except Bartholomew being saved."
