Daughter of James Phelan and Alice Mulhall Kelly Phelan, and wife of Francis J. Sullivan.

After solemn high requiem mass at St. Brigid's church, the body of Mrs. Francis J. Sullivan, a sister of former Mayor James D. Phelan and a long time resident of this city, yesterday was taken to the last resting place in Holy Cross cemetery.

Father Cottle of St. Brigid's preached the sermon and paid a glowing tribute to the life and character of Mrs. Sullivan. Fifty priests and clergymen were in attendance, besides many of the laity, including many who had received bounty at Mrs. Sullivan's generous hand, and others who had been her lifelong friend.
