Ida LaRoche was born at Remington, Ind. and came with her parents to St. Anne the next year and here the family has lived since. She received her education in the schools of this place, graduating from the high school in the class of 1891. The next year she taught the Allain school east of town. She was reenaged for a second and third term.
In 1899 she was united in marriage to William Harp. To this union was born a daugther who lived to brighten the home for the short period of two months. In May 1900, death again visited the home this time removing the father and husband. Since the death of her husband Mrs. Harp has acted as saleslady in several of the local stores and in two of the stores in Earl Park, Ind. When taken sick about two months ago she was employed in the Cohen store in the Indiana town.
In 1907 Mrs. Harp was admitted as a member of Royal Neighbors, Lily of the Valley camp No. 191 St. Anne but later transferred her membership to the Earl Park camp. In the lodge she carried a policy for $1000, her mother being the beneficiary.
Besides her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Peter LaRoche, the deceased leaves to mourn her departure two brothers and six sisters, namely, John of Chicago Heights, Joseph of St. Anne. Mrs. Charles Mayeau of Papineau, Mrs. Joseph Emmond of Wolcott, Ind, Mrs. Peter Adams, Mrs. Thomas Soucie and Miss Emma of St. Anne, and Mrs. Joseph Schroder of Martinton.
