MRS. JOSEPH E. BOWMAN

Mrs. Fannie S. Bowman, widow of Joseph E. Bowman, died in her West Falmouth home last Friday following a short illness. Mrs. Bowman, who was 82, was a daughter of John and Anna Lawton and was born in Milton. She married Mr. Bowman in 1883 and had made her home in West Falmouth since. She was a former member of Megansett Grange.

Survivors include her son, Henry O. Bowman of Seattle, Wash., who flew here to see his mother shortly before her death; her daughter, Mrs. Cyrus Doiron of West Falmouth; one grandson, Elliott Towers of Cataumet; two granddaughters, the Misses Merlaine and Dorothy Bowman of Seattle; a niece, Mrs. Bertha Tarbox of Dorchester and a great-granddaughter, Sally Louisa Towers of Cataumet.

Funeral services were held from the home on Monday afternoon with the Rev. J. F. Knipschild of New Bedford officiating. Mr. and Mrs. Donald White of New Bedford sang the hymn, "Love's Rainbow". Burial was in the North Falmouth Congregational cemetery.
