John Harrison was listed on the 1900 census with my grandparents, John and Martha Pritchard of Loup Township, Buffalo County. He was born in Pennsylvania but both his parents were born in Ireland. John was 69 at the time of the census. He had worked for my grandparents for several years.
In a report to the county board in January of 1906, John had lived at the "poor farm" for 75 days. This was about the time my family moved to Blair, Nebraska.-http://oldcottonmill.com/Research/poor_farm/poor_farm.pdf
