Obituary in The Eagle, Reading, PA, 2 Jun 1913: Was bedfast for month. Aaron D. Wentzel Was Well-Known Stone Cutter. Aaron D. Wentzel, died at his residence North Front Street of complication of diseases on Sunday afternoon after an illness of seven months, age 46 years. Deceased was bedfast four months. Deceased was the son of Aaron and Kathryn (Kahl) Wentzel and was born in Muhlenberg Township where he learned his trade of stone cutter. He was moved to the city when a young man and was employed at Epp Granite Works until the time of his last illness. He was a member of the St. Paul's Catholic Church, Knights of St. John, Brotherhood of the Holy Cross and Holy Rosary Society. He is survived by his widow, Catherine (Hartman) Wentzel and one daughter, Catherine, three brothers, Andrew S., Riverside, Jacob S., Harrisburg, John F., Norristown, four sisters, Mrs. Charles Mayor, Warwick, Mrs. George Hartman, Mt. Penn, Mrs. Sarah Hinkle and Mrs. Matilda Wentzel, Reading.
