Obituary for Tillie (Albert Lea Tribune): "MRS HARRY FERNELIUS. Funeral services for Mrs Harry Fernelius, who passed away Thursday June 8 at the age of 68 years, at Faribault Manor Nursing Home after an extended illness, were held at 1 p.m. Monday, June 12. Services were held at the First English Lutheran Church with the Rev Donald T Hansen officiating. Soloist Mrs Gene Severson was accompanied by Mrs Ronald Sprain at the organ. Pallbearers were Stanley Larson, Roger Larson and Harry McColley of Waseca; Frank Anderson of Humboldt, Iowa; Earl White of Austin and Donald Larson of Northwood, Iowa. Interment was in Oak Ridge Cemetery at Faribault. Alice M Larson was born Jan 31, 1899 to Martin and Martha Lunning Larson at Eagle Grove, Iowa where she lived until 1914. She attended Eagle Grove country and public schools. On June 21, 1914 she was united in marriage to Joseph A Kelly at Eagle Grove, Iowa. Mr Kelly passed away in 1947. She married Harry Fernelius on Sept 17, 1952 at Sioux Falls, S.D. She resided in Albert Lea from 1914 to 1959 and then moved to Faribault where she resided until her death. Mrs Fernelius was a member of the First Lutheran Church at Albert Lea and a member of the First English Lutheran Church at Faribault. She is survived by her husband; by two daughters, Mrs Harold Tvedt (Loretta) of Minneapolis; and Mrs Elwood Peterson (Vivian) of Plainfield, NJ; four sons, Robert J Kelly of Albert Lea; John, James, and Joseph Kelly of Washington, DC; 12 grandchildren; three great grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs Art Anderson of Humboldt, Iowa; and Mrs A K Peterson (Mary) of Barnesville, Minn; three brothers, Andrew Larson of Albert Lea; Gehard Larson of Humboldt, Iowa; and Edward Larson of Waseca. Mrs Fernelius was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Joseph A Kelly in 1947; a daughter, Dorothy Jean Kelly; and a grandson. Friends and relatives from away at the funeral were from Minneapolis; Plainfield, NJ; Albert Lea; Washington, DC; Humboldt, Iowa; Fort Dodge, Iowa; Waseca; Austin; Northwood, Iowa; New Richland and Mankato."
