The daughter of Purley Andrew and Etta Elizabeth (Ayers) Ballew, she born near Lancaster, Missouri on January 8, 1909. She was married to Theodore R. Bragg in February of 1929 at Promise City, Iowa.
Ted survives as also do two sons, Leon Bragg and his wife Barb of Fremont, California and Richard Bragg and wife Karen of Springville, Iowa; two daughters, Mrs. Rudy (Irene) Lnenicka of Bertram, Iowa and Mrs. Robert (Connie) Lang of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; also a daughter in law, Linda Bragg of Ely, Iowa; 22 grandchildren; several great grandchildren and one sister, Helen Athas of Eldora, Iowa.
Florence and Ted lived near Hartford, Missouri where they farmed and raised their family. They moved to Cedar Rapids, Iowa during 1950 when Ted was employed by several dairy farmers in that area. Florence worked for Woolworths in their donut department and then for the Collins Cafeteria until retiring.
Besides her parents, a son, Purley Bragg, preceded her in death.
Graveside services will be held on Thursday, September 26, 2002 at 2:00 p.m. at the Arni Memorial Cemetery in Lancaster, Missouri. Rob Green, pastor of the Lancaster Christian Church will officiate. The family will greet friends and relatives after 12:00 p.m. at the Norman Funeral Home in Lancaster, Missouri on Thursday.
