Raymond C. Dutro, 59, employe of the Barnaby greenhouse the last 15 years, died at 10:30 o'clock this morning at the county hospital, after being ill for a month. He had been confined to bed the last two weeks.
Mr. Duttro was born in Wayne township and was a resident of Bartholomew county all of his life. He served in World War I and then returned to Columbus where he had resided ever since. He was married to Miss Bessie Morrison in 1925 and they became the parents of a son and three daughters Leonard (Jack) Dutro, Mrs. Charlene Malson, whose husband is now serving in Germany, Elaine and Sue Ann Dutro, at home.
Other survivors beside the wife include three brothers and five sisters, William, Carl, and Forest Dutro, Mrs. Lela Thompson, Mrs. Edith Hensley, Mrs. Mabel Dale, Mrs. Elmer Herron, Mrs. Arlie Stickan and Miss Gertrude Dutro.
Mr. Dutro was a member of the Oddfellows lodge.
The body is at the Flanigan, Reed and and Hull funeral home where funeral services will be held at 2:30 o'clock Sunday afternoon, conducted by the Rev. Albert Fauth, pastor of First Baptist church. Burial will be made at Daugherty cemetery.
The casket will be open after Saturday noon at the funeral home, where friends may call until time of the services.
