COURIER-JOURNAL OBITUARY - 03/08/2012 - CONNELLY, ROBERT WILLIAM, 83, of Okolona, returned to his Heavenly Father at his home surrounded by family members on March 5, 2012. Bob was an active member of Okolona Christian Church where he was a former deacon, a U.S. Army Korean War veteran, and a machinist and industrial engineer with General Electric for 37 years. Among those that preceded him in death include his parents, Anthony and Edna Connelly. He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife of 57 years, his children, a brother; a sister and 13 grandchildren, Funeral service will be conducted at 10 a.m. on Saturday, March 10, 2012 at Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy. at Brooks Rd.) with interment in Cave Hill Cemetery. Friends may pay their respects on Friday from 2-8 p.m. at Schoppenhorst. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the Crusade for Children or Okolona Christian Church Missions.
