Funeral services for Doris Lorene Earhart Koss, 80, of Many, were held on Tuesday, Sept. 3, at 10 a.m., in St. John Catholic Church. Father John Pardue officiated, with burial following in the church cemetery, under the direction of the Warren Meadows Funeral Home.
Mrs. Koss died on Saturday, August 31, at Schumpert-Highland Medical Center in Shreveport.
She was born on July 1, 1922, in Troy Kansas. She married J. J. Koss, and raised nine children, devoting her lifetime to being a good mother.
Mrs. Koss is survived by her husband, J. J. Koss of Many; four daughters, Rosalia Hanna of Rockport, Texas, Veronica McConathy of Logansport, Marguerite Mason of Greenville, South Carolina, and Bonnie Keelser of Auburn, Indiana; four sons, Tommy Koss, Marion Koss, George Koss, and Peter Koss, all of Many; and a sister, Vera Rose Small of Horton, Kansas. She is also survived by 18 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; and a host of
nieces, nephews, and friends. Mrs. Koss was preceded in death by a son, John A. Koss.
Pallbearers were Brad Koss, David Koss, Jeremy Koss, Justin Koss, Jason McConathy, and Jonathan Mason.
Honorary pallbearers were Bruce W. Hanna, Michael Keesler, Joey Beason, Kody Byles, W. B. Hanna III, Andrew Hanna, Austin Ford, Michael Beason, and Brett Beason.
