Captain Billy Peyregne, age 80, a lifelong resident of Grand Bay passed away on Saturday, March 23, 2013 at a local hospital with his family by his side. He retired after 58 years as a captain in the marine industry. He was a member of The American Legion Post 250 and VFW Post 4826.
He is survived by his wife, children, two grandchildren, 4 step children, 2 sisters, 1 brother, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Pall Bearers will be Freddy Cagle, Barry Deakle, Jeff Peyregne, Andrew Peyregne, Greg Barnes and Todd Wilkerson.
Funeral service will be Thursday, March 28, 2013 at 12 noon from the chapel of Serenity Funeral Home. Visitation will be Thursday, March 28, 2013 at 10 am until service time. Interment will be in Oddfellow Cemetery.
