Earlee Pope, 83, of 3119 Avenue D, Ensley, died Monday. A Bullock County native, Mr. Pope was a retired U.S. Steel rivet driver. A World War I veteran, he was a member of the Ensley Post of the American Legion and had lived in Ensley for 50 years.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Indian Creek Cemetery near Union Spring with Angwin directing.
Survivors include three brothers, George Pope, Gadsden, Olen Pope, Troy and Tom Pope, Trussville and four sisters, Mrs. Florence Sizemore and Mrs. Leila McWhorter, both of Troy, Mrs. Augusta Winfield, Birmingham, and Mrs. Flora Waters, Brundidge.
