Obituary Glee Rice, Las Vegas
Glee Rice, 74, of 4596 Royal Ridge Ave., Las Vegas, Nev., died Saturday (July 3, 1982) at 7:19 a.m. in East Deer Township, Pa. while visiting relatives.
He was born May 26, 1908, in Canton, Kansas, to Henry E. and Icey Arnetta Smith Rice.
Retired, Mr. Rice had been an engineer for Reynolds Electric Engineers at the Mercury test site in Nevada. He was a member of AFL-CIO International Union of Operating Engineers Local 12 of Los Angeles, Calif.
He was of the Baptist faith.
Mr. Rice was a Navy veteran of World War II.
He was a member of American Legion Post 8, Las Vegas.
Survivors include his wife, Thelma D. DeBastiani Rice, formerly of East Deer; two sisters, Mrs. Clifford (Minerva) Myers of Monett, Mo., and Mrs. Joseph (Ada) Wright of Independence, Mo.,; and one brother, Walter of Richmond, Calif.
A service was conducted today at 11 a.m. in the Paul R. Ajak Funeral
Home, 921 Freeport Road, Creighton, by the Rev. James S. Crowin, pastor of the First Baptist Church, Tarentum. Burial followed in Plum Creek Cemetery. Full Military honors were provided by Tarentum VFW Post 5758, Lower Burrell VFW Post Wildlife Lodge Road and the Army Reserves in New Kensington.
