Mary Alice Chittum Gunter, 80, of Brunswick, Md., entered into eternal rest on Friday, April 2, 2010. She was the wife of the late Ray S. Gunter, who passed away in 2002. Born on August 12, 1929, in Buena Vista, Va., she was the daughter of the late Graham Chittum and Emma Bane.
Surviving are three sons, Michael Gunter and wife, Larie, Glen Gunter, and Steven Gunter and Tina Decker; her caregivers and one daughter, Patty Fogle; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and one sister, Betty Stull.
Funeral Services will be held 1 p.m. on Thursday, April 8, 2010, in the Buchanan Chapel of Botetourt Funeral Home with the Rev. Mike Woody officiating. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 7, 2010, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Botetourt Funeral Home, Buchanan, Va.
