He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Keith and Edwin Carper; and his father and mother-in-law, Bill and Cindy Hastings.
He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Shelia Carper; son, Ricky (Kelly) Carper Jr.; daughter, Brittnie Carper; brother, Tony Carper (Wanda); sister, Quinta Sharp (Robert); and granddaughter, Carleigh Carper, all of Corinth.
