Gladys M. Sonnon, 96, formerly of 39 S. Lingle Avenue, Palmyra passed away Wednesday March 20, 2013 in the Lebanon Valley Home, Annville. She was the wife of the late Woodrow W. T. Sonnon who died in 1994. Born in Lebanon on May 28, 1916, she was the daughter of the late George and Bertha Hackman Fernsler. She was a homemaker. Gladys was a member of Christ Church United Church of Christ, Annville where she faithfully served in the nursery for 55 years, was a member of the Women's Guild, and a Choir Mother. She also loved spending time with her two grandsons. Surviving are a daughter Frances wife of Gregory P. Hoover of Palmyra, a sister Dorothy Bordlemay of Cleona, two grandsons Michael and Daniel Hoover and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by brothers Elvin, Lester, Richard, her twin Grant, Paul, Fred, and Edgar Fernsler. Funeral services will be held on Monday at 11:00 AM from Christ Church United Church of Christ, 200 S. White Oak Street, Annville, PA 17003. Viewing will be held on Sunday evening from 6-8 PM at the Kreamer Funeral Home and Crematory, 618 E. Main Street, Annville and also in Monday from 10-11 AM prior to the service at the Church. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to her Church or the Lebanon Valley Home Benevolent Fund, 550 E. Main Street, Annville, PA 17003.
