She attended the public schools of Florence County. She was formerly employed with Wiggins Plastics in Clifton, New Jersey as a Machinery Operator for over 30 years.
Mrs. Bragdon was converted at an early age and joined Aimwell Baptist Church, Pamplico, SC. She moved to Passaic, New Jersey in 1961. She became a member of the Mount Pilgrim Church in Passaic, New Jersey under the leadership of Pastor McDonnell. She faithfully served as a member of the Usher Board and Women's Day Committee. Mrs. Bragdon remained faithful until declining health caused her to relocate to Florence, South Carolina with her niece.
She was joined in Holy Matrimony to the late Mr. JB Bragdon. To this union one child was born.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by six siblings, Will, Eva, John Henry, Pinckney, Bertha and Charles.
Mrs. Bragdon leaves to cherish loving memories: one son, Russell Bragdon of Florence, SC; four nieces, Linda Walker of Fayetteville, NC; Mary (Donald) Hamlin of Florence, SC; Dr. Shirley Timmons of Anderson, SC and Hazel (Howard) Kelly of Pamplico, SC; two nephews, Wilbur Hyman of Tennessee and Gregory Hyman of Brooklyn, NY; one great nephew, LaVance (Stacy) Ellison; one great niece, Dr. Eve Bowers (Jacfranz) Guiteau of Houston, TX; one sister-in-law, Gertrude Hyman of Pamplico, SC; one great great niece, LaKiya which she called "my little girl"; and a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
