Helen Ervin Browne, 81, of Hendersonville, died Monday, May 17, 2010, at Tore's Home in Brevard. She was a native of Chesnee SC, but had lived in Henderson county for the past 10 years.
She was a daughter of the late Boyd Ervin and Ruth Hawkins Smith and wife of the late Erik Lee Browne, who died in 2008. She was also preceded in death by a son Robert Pruitt Jr., who died in 2002. She was a personnel director for Martin Marietta in Washington DC, and a graduate of the University of NC and also a member of the Hendersonville Country Club. Survivors include a daughter Linda Pruitt Johnson and her husband Warren of Etowah.
