Barnabus Carnes was born in Germany in 1823 came to America as a young man.
He lived in St. Helena Parish Louisiana, he meet and married Minde Louisa Bazoon she was born Jan.-25-1820 the Daughter of John and Sarah Jackson Bazoon.
Barnabus and Lousia married February- 13- 1851 in St. Helena Parish Louisiana.
They moved to San Jancinto County Texas which at that time was part of Lierty County,Barnabus and Louisia Bought 241 acres of land where they raised there Children who were :
1-Malissa born-1851
2-Henry born-Jan.-5-1852 Who married Mary Ann Stanley
3-Ellen born-Sept.-14-1859
4-Dude born-July-15-1866
5--Adiline born- July-15-1866 ( Twin Sister to Dude )
6-Louisa born-March-2-1869
My G.G.G. Grand Parents were good hard working people they raised there Children to love one another and they were a very close family.
Lousia gave birth to her last child on March-2-1869 and she died soon after giving Birth to her Daughter who Barnabus named after his wife Louisa what a hard time on this loving family.
Louisa dieing so very young and Grandad with 6 children the oldest Malissa was 18 and a one Day old Baby im sure was very hard but with The Lords help they carried on.
Later Barnabus married Mahalla Hutto she was a Widow with 3 Children they would have one Child Born to there marriage:
7-Barnabus Carnes JR. Born- Dec.-26-1870
Grandad Barnabus died in December -1873 at the age of 51 years.
Were not sure where Barnabus was buried.
