Paul R. Wombles, 79, formerly of Louisiana, Mo., a retired farmer, died at 2:25 p.m. Sunday (Jan. 27, 1991) in the Barry Community Care Center. Born Sept. 18, 1911, in Calhoun County, Mr. Wombles was a son of A.F. and Carrie O. Lappin Wombles. He farmed most of his life and was a member of the Sny Church of God near Atlas. On Oct. 20, 1934, he married Bernice Hillman in Pittsfield. She survives. He was preceded in death by a son, Paul D., and two brothers, Joe and Jack.
Services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Wednesday in the Ward-Lummis Funeral Home in Pleasant Hill by Brother Walter Parret. Burial will be in Crescent Heights Cemetery in Pleasant Hill.
