He married Barbara Adamo in 1935 and began a life-long career in the restaurant business in 1936, when he and his brother-in-law, John Adamo, opened their first restaurant. In 1957, the family moved to Garden Grove, where he worked at the Villa Adamo, Tom's in Fullerton, and Adamo's in Anaheim until his retirement in 1976.
From 1988 until her death in 1998 from Parkinson's, Thomas was the primary care giver for his wife, Barbara. He spent his remaining years actively engaged in the lives of friends and family and pursuing his favorite hobby, gardening.
He is survived by his sons, Patrick of St. George, Utah, Thomas of Huntington Beach, Joseph of Garden Grove; granddaughter Joanne of Laguna Beach and grandson Steve of San Clemente; brother Vincent; sisters Carole and Antoinette of Rome, New York.
