She was preceded in death by her parents: Dahlia Prock McKenzie and Clarence McKenzie; her husband's: R.J. Davis, Hoyt Mason, and Jess Welch. She worked in daycare centers for many years and over 20 years taking care of seniors. Mrs. Welch loved reading and working puzzles. She attended the Baptist church. Mrs. Welch was survived by one daughter: Debra Cross of Cleveland; one son: Robert James Davis, Jr. of Cleveland; eight grand children; three great grand children; two sisters: Claudette Harmon and her husband Bill of Cleveland, and Nina Mae Brooks of Reliance; two brothers: Dale McKenzie and his wife Nola of Cleveland, and Franklin McKenzie and his wife Ola Mae of Calhoun, GA; Special Friends: Hoyt and Barbara Culbertson of Riceville, TN; several nieces and nephews also survive. The Remembrance of Life Memorial Services will be announced later. The family will receive friends from5:00 until 8:00 PM Monday, April 25, 2011 from the Wildwood Avenue Chapel of Jim Rush Funeral Homes who has charge of arrangements.
