John "Jack" Edward was born July 21, 1927 in Hanover and was the son of Victor Lowell and Velva Lillian (Dickinson) Anderson. He married Betty Lou Scharpf on February 4, 1950 in Hanover and four children were born to this union: Scott John Anderson, Steven Wayne Anderson, Vicki Lou (Anderson) Davis, and Robert Todd Anderson. Jack was a World War II U.S. Navy Veteran. Jack was an inspector at the Savanna Army Depot for 24 years before retiring in 1971. Jack died September 8, 1988 and is buried in Evergreen Cemetery
