ELLINWOOD – Joan Budig, 58, died Feb. 25, 2013 at her home in Ellinwood.
She was born Sept. 26, 1954 at Hoisington, the daughter of Richard L. and Mary Ann (Dobson) Budig
She married Lyle Cason Jan. 21, 1971, at Derby.
A Barton County resident since 2003 coming from Tulsa, Okla., Joan was employed as a secretary. Joan was a member of the Roman Catholic Faith. She enjoyed crocheting, sewing, and various other arts and crafts. Above all, she loved her grandchildren.
Survivors include two sons: Lyle Cason, Jr., of Oklahoma; Leal Cason and wife Chassie, Cullison; a daughter: Contessa Cason, Wagoner, Okla., and her fiancé, Michael Kraft, Wichita; a brother, Gene Budig, Great Bend; four sisters, Barbara Sicka, Broken Arrow, Okla.; Sandy Stos, Broken Arrow, Okla.; Mickey Wayman, Mulvane; and Brenda Budig, Great Bend; 11 grandchildren.
Memorial Service is scheduled at 2 p.m. Thursday at Bryant Funeral Home with Pastor John Ford, Jr., Officiating. Inurnment will be at Great Bend Cemetery. No visitation is scheduled as cremation has taken place.
Memorials, in lieu of flowers, can be sent to Joan Budig Funeral Expense Fund, in care of the Bryant Funeral Home.
