Rosemary Cline Ibbs, 85

East Liverpool - Rosemary Cline Ibbs, 85, of Cora Street passed away Wednesday, March 6, 2013 at the Lakeview Personal Care Center in Darlington, PA at 3:07 p.m. following a lengthy battle with Micro Aviary Bacterial Infection. Born January 31, 1928 in Chester, WV, she was a daughter of the late Chester Fire Chief Lawrence L. "Dutch" and Margaret Anna Goppert Cline. A lifetime area resident, she was a graduate of Chester High School Class of 1946. She was retired from the Bell research Company. A member of the Chester 1st Christian Church, she was also very active in T.O.P.S. of Wellsville, where she served as their weight recorder for many years. She loved to read paperback books and doing newspaper puzzles. A wonderful and devoted wife and mother, she truly lived for her family. It should also be noted that she was a mom to all of the neighborhood kids as well. Once her grandchildren were born, they undoubtedly came first and foremost in her daily routine. She, along with her sister "Nean", spent countless hours with her grandchildren. Surviving at home is her husband, Kenneth L. Ibbs, whom she married July 1st, 1950. They would have celebrated 63 years of marriage this July. Also surviving is one daughter, Gretchen Lynne Ibbs Parkus of East Liverpool; and one son, Daniel T. Ibbs and his wife, Rhonda K. of Pittsburgh, PA. She has six grandchildren, Michael Drew Long and his wife, Angel, Morgan Elizabeth Ibbs Hoder and her husband Michael, Megan Rose Weddle, Mary Katherine "Katie" Ibbs, Bo Patrick Ibbs, and Paige Kay Thomas. There are nine great-grandchildren as well. In addition, she leaves behind two sisters, Esther Smallwood and her husband, Harold and Margaret Comm and her husband, Clifford; and two brothers, Lewis W. Cline and John H. Cline. She was preceded in death by one sister, Juanita "Nean" Cline; and by one brother, Lawrence F. Cline. Friends may visit the family from 2 - 8 p.m. Sunday at the Dawson Funeral Home in East Liverpool, Pastor Timothy W. Martin and Dr. Robert B. Sylvies will conduct a funeral service at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery. Family and friends will gather at the Dawson Family Center immediately following the committal service.
