Mrs. Sarah Pollock died Sunday night about 11 o'clock at her home in Plaingrove, death being due to the infirmities of age.She was one of the most highly esteemed women in Lawrence county, and was well known.

She was born January 19, 1831, and was past 86 years of age. For many years she had been a member of the Plaingrove United Presbyterian church. She was the mother of 14 children, all of whom are living with the exception of one son who died in infancy. The surviving childrene are: W. S. of Mercer, Mrs. James Peebles, of Scott township; J. W., of Fort Morgan, Col., Emma J., Sarah E., J. C., F. H., and Thomas, at home, B. A., of Carnegie, Pa., F. W. of Woodfield, Ohio, W. H. of Union county L. A. and Clarence of Plaingrove township.

The funeral will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock, Rev. Cameron officiating. Interment will be made in Plaingrove.
