Funeral services were conducted at the First Presbyterian Church in Manchester, Tenn., Oct. 27, for Miss Kathryn (Katie) Mourning, 78, who died at the Coffey County Hospital Nursing Home, in Manchester, Tenn., Tuesday at 8:00 p.m., October 26. Death was due to a stroke. Miss Mourning was a native of Taylor County, daughter of Elizabeth Durham and James Mourning. She was a nurse in Henderson, N.C., for 40 or more years but retired and lived at Black Mountain, N.C., until July 1966 when she moved to Manchester, Tenn. She made her home with Mr. and Mrs. George R. Turner when in Campbellsville and was a member of the Presbyterian Church. She was a sister of Mrs. Robert (Bob) Buckner, mother of Mrs. George R. Turner. Survivors include nieces and nephews.
