Nina Shamblin, 93, of Charleston went to be with her Lord Tuesday, February 10, 1998, at home after a long illness.

She was a charter member of Rebecca Littlepage Presbyterian Church (eventually relocated as Riverview PCA Church) and a member of Home League of the Salvation Army. At Christmas time she was one of those ladies who stood on the corner with the red kettle and rang the bell for donations, and she was in her late seventies and early eighties at the time. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harley Edward Shamblin.

She was survived by daughters Eloise Griffeth of Charleston, Eileen Shaver of Pinellas Park, Fla.; sisters, Freda Spradling and Pauline Stonestreet, of Charleston; four grandsons; eight great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild.

Service was at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 14 at Cunningham-Parker-Johnson Funeral Home with Pastor David Currence officiating. Her grandson sang one of her favorite songs, "How Great Thou Art." Burial was at Tyler Mountain Memory Gardens, Cross Lanes, WV.
