Alfred was born to Anders Jacobsen & Johanna (Danielson) Anderson. Alfred married Matilda Anderson in March 1, 1897.
Alfred & Tilda had five children-Carl Anderson; Emma (Willis H.) Fuller; Marie (Lewis "Joe" Milton) Lawrence; Elmer Alfred Anderson; Hilda (Vernon H.) Lawrence.

Died Suddenly
Alfred Anderson Buried at Sharon Saturday Afternoon
Funeral services or Alfred Anderson, 61, were held Saturday afternoon from the Methodist church with burial in Sharon cemetery.
He died suddenly Thursday about 8 p.m. He had been in his usual good health and spirits during the day and had been in Prophetstown and Morrison. Shortly after he had retired for the night his house keeper, Mrs. Mattie Worthan, heard him breathing heavily and being unable to rouse him she called neighbors and sent for a doctor, but Mr. Anderson died before the arrival of the latter. An inquest was held Friday afternoon at which time it was determined that cause of his death was apoplexy (stroke). Mr. Anderson was born in Sweden, coming to this country when he was 20, and had lived in this vicinity ever since except for eight years spent in North Dakota. His wife, who was Tilda Ekdahl died in 1913. Two sons have also died, leaving three daughters. Mrs. Willis Fuller of Spring Hill, Mrs. Lewis Lawrence of Prophetstown, and Mrs. Vernon Lawrence of near Tampico, besides three brothers, Frank, Henry, and Gust Anderson, all of Prophetstown, and one sister Mrs. Emma Gustafson of Riverside.
