Funeral services were conducted from the South Campbellsville Baptist Church, Sunday afternoon at 2 p.m. for Mrs. Lena Wilkins Pendleton with Rev. J. W. Brown in charge. Interment was in Brookside Cemetery. Mrs. Pendleton, 77 years of age, died at the home of her daughter at Shively Friday, August 9th. She had been in ill health for some time but death was sudden, however and not expected. She was born in Taylor County, daughter of W. R. and Mary Davis Wilkins. She was united in marriage 60 years ago to Will Pendleton, who preceded her in death in 1957. She was a member of the Farmdale Baptist Church. Surviving are two sons, Wesley Pendleton, Campbellsville, Bernard Pendleton, Louisville; one daughter, Mrs. Mary Morrison Caffee, Louisville; nine grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were Garnett, Ivan, and Leonard Barnes, Paul Ashbrook, William Crouch and Arlin Gadberry.
