Mrs Clara Biedenbender, 77, of Rt. 1, Hilbert, died Friday evening at Calumet Memorial Hospital, Chilton, following a lingering illness.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Monday at Trinity Lutheran Church, Rantoul, Rev. Edgar Greve officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Mrs Biedenbender was born Aug. 9, 1885, at Rantoul, daughter of the late Theodore and Marie Brockman Lerche, and was married to Rudolph Biedenbender Nov. 23, 1909. The couple farmed in the Town of Rantoul until Mr Biedenbender's death in 1954. Since then Mrs Biedenbender had resided with her daughter, Mrs John Behnke, of Rt. 1, Hilbert.
She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Rantoul.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs John Behnke of Rt. 1, Hilbert; a son, Marvin of Potter; two sisters, Mrs Meta Biedenbender of Brillion and Mrs Adelia Bettner of Potter; five grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Friends may call after 2 p.m. Sunday at Wieting Funeral Home, Brillion, until 10:30 a.m. Monday when the casket will be moved to the church where the body will lie in state until the hour of service.
