Ruth A. Kidwell, 86, of Irwin Road, Delaware, Ohio died Thursday, December 28, 2000 at the Wintersong Village in Delaware following a brief illness.
She was born in Mt. Gilead, Ohio on May 13, 1914, the daughter of the late William Grant and Fannie McClaren McLain. She attended Mt. Gilead High School. She has resided here since 1955 after moving from Cincinnati. She enjoyed birds and wildlife.
She is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law Robert & Catherine Kidwell of Prospect, OH, David & Judy Kidwell of Delaware, OH, and Richard & Barbara Kidwell of Findlay, OH; 14 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; one great great granddaughter; and a sister-in-law Fannie McLain of Marengo, OH.
Her husband Calvin S. Kidwell, whom she married Nov. 30, 1933, preceded her in death on Oct. 11, 1990 along with her daughter Pat Blanton, her brothers Edward and Wallace McLain and sister Mae Olsen .
Friends may call at the Craven & Snyder Funeral Home in Mt. Gilead on Saturday evening December 30, 2000 from 4-8 p.m., where Funeral services will be held Sunday at 1:00 p.m. Burial will follow in Rivercliff Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to Hospice of Delaware.
