Mrs Cora Stanford Mitchell, 60, died Friday at her home, 442 E Paces Ferry Rd, NE. She was the widow of S Archie Mitchell, who died about 15 years ago.
Mrs Mitchell worked 15 years in the finance department of the Veterans Administration, and before that with the Home Owners Loan Corp. Born near Monroe, Ga, she lived in Atlanta most of her life. She was a charter member of the Peachtree Christian Church.
Funeral services will be at 4 pm Saturday at Spring Hill. The Rev Robert W Burns and the Rev James Lane Hooten, a nephew of Mrs Mitchell, will officiate. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs Robert A Thomas, Columbus, and Mrs Donald A Dalman, Brunswick; a sister, Mrs M S Williams, Oklahoma City, Okla, and three brothers, Claude A and Earl Stanford, both of Atlanta, and Edwin Stanford, Landover, Md.
