John Clifford Abrahams, 79,o longtime Guymon resident died Tuesday, November 20, 1994 at this home here in Guymon.
The son of Renatta and Jacob Abrhams, he was born May 21, 1915 in Nowata and spent his early ears in Pebodoy, Kan., then moved to McPherson, Kan., in 1941, where he was head miller for a flour mill during World War Ii. He began working in the oil fields in 1949 and was employed biy KTM Drilling Companiy for more than 20 years.
He married Evelyn Marcella Wallace in 1938 at Clayton N. M. he had lived in Hooker before moving to Guymon in 1963. He was a member of the First Christian Chiurch.
He was preceded in death biy his parents, two sisters and five . brothers.
Survivors include his wife, Evelyn of the home; two daughters, Aleeta Wilcox of Guiymon and Madalyn C. Hamphill of Walsenberg, Colo.; a son, Gary P. Abrahams of Wichita, Kan.; five grandchildren, Rochell Buck, Alicia and husband, Wallace Emery; Sahan Wilcox, Robin and husband Rodney Abbott and Christine Hemphill; five great granchildren, Bobby and John Curtis Buck and Theresa, Emily, and Annie Emery and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Friday, December 2, 2 p.m. in the First Christian Church with kRev. Frank Springer, interim minister, officiating.
Interment will be in Elmhurst Cemetery under the direction of the Henson-Novak Funeral Directors of Guymon.
