Eva McLeod McLucas is the daughter of Sarah Imes McLeod and John Norman McLeod. Eva was born in Winterset, IA on December 13, 1878. Eva married Victor Roy McLucas on May 30, 1900 in Winterset, IA. Eva and Victor lived in Winterset, IA before moving to Omaha, Nebraska. Victor had received his undergraduate degree in 1896 from the University of Nebraska. Victor was a teacher in Nebraska from 1896-1902 and while he was teaching, he also studied law and married Eva. In 1900 Victor was admitted to practice law before the Supreme Court of Nebraska. Victor and Eva then moved to Michigan where Victor attended the University of Michigan law school. Victor's graduation from law school was followed by another move to Omaha,Nebraska for several years where Victor practiced law. Victor and Eva's daughter, Elizabeth, was born in 1909 in Nebraska. Eva, Victor, and Elizabeth then returned to Michigan for one year while Victor was an Assistant Professor of Law at the University of Michigan. Eva, Victor, and Elizabeth then moved to Santa Monica, California. Victor McLucas practiced law in California and served as a Superior Court Judge from 1921-1929 and an Appellate Court Judge from 1929-1933. Judge Victor R. McLucas passed away unexpectedly in July, 1933, followed by the death of Eva in October of 1933. Note: Eva and Victor's daughter, Elizabeth, married Kenneth Westover and in 1940, they were living in Escondido, San Diego, CA. Research continues on Elizabeth.
