Frederick Arthur Brust was born September 10, 1896 in Mt. Carmel to George and Mary Ellen Grayson Brust. He leaves a sister, Lorine Pepple of Clearwater, Florida. Two brothers and one sister preceded him in death.

He married Augusta Dominick on June 22, 1940 in Jackson, Missouri. She survives as well as children, Wanda Throgmorton of Cape Girardeau, Missouri; Lawrence F. and Wilmer H., both of Mound City; Raymond of Paducah, Kentucky; and Ronald J. of Plainfield.

Mr. Brust was a retired track foreman for the Illinois Central Railroad. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge AF&AM 498 of Murphysboro, the Maintenance of Way Union of Carbondale, and the Murphysboro Senior Citizens. He was also a member of the First Christian Church of Murphysboro.

Mr. Brust died at the age of 79 in St. Joseph Memorial Hospital at Murphysboro.

Fred was first married to Maggie Youngblood (according to his WWI draft registration in 1918).

They were the parents of four children -- Wanda Throgmorton, Lawrence F., Raymond E. and Wilmer H. "Wimpy".

Fred later married Augusta Dominick in 1940 and they were the parents of one child -- Ronald J.
