Johann Adam Zollmann was born on Dec.19, 1738 in Mensfelden, Germany to Johann Anton Zollmann and Maria Catherina Lieber {Anton's second wife}. Father and son arrived in Philidelphia on October 23, 1754 on the ship Good Intent. They are listed on the 1754 passenger listing. Look under List 228B for Zollman for the hyper-link Snow Good Intent. {Notice only males that are most likley heads of families are listed}
Johann Adam first maried Maria Barbara {maden name unknown} in 1764 to which they had 4 children. After her death Adam married Susannah Isenberg {born Oct. 23, 1748} on Oct. 9, 1778 and had at least 5 more children. He purchased land and had a farm in Frederick County, Maryland. Upon his death on December 6, 1811, Adam was buried in the family cemetery on the farm. His 3 eldest sons from Susannah {Philip, Jacob & John} migrated west with their families to Fredericktown in Knox County, Ohio in circa 1812/1813. Philip is buried in Glenda Cemetery, St. Francois County, MO; Jacob is buried in Quaker Cemetery, Knox County, OH; John is buried in Berlin M.E. Cemetery in Knox County, OH. Adam's daughter Anna Maria from his first wife Maria, this daughter and her family stayed in Frederick County, Maryland. Using family links there are descendants to this day still in the same county.

Adam's children from Maria were:
1) Susannah (b. circa 1765/d. 1810) md. Daniel David Heck
2) Henrich William (b. circa 1766/d. 1794) md. Mary Bousman {Click on either of his sons' links: William Zollman or Adam Zollman}
3) Anna Maria (b. Jun.1, 1767/d. Nov.18, 1832) md. Johann Henrich Vogel {American name "John Henry Fogle"}
4) Catherine (b. circa 1768/d. 1811) md. Henry Garner

From his wife Susannah they were:
5) Philip (b. 1780/d. Mar.15, 1842) md. Elizabeth {See Family Links below}
6) Jacob (b. Feb.11, 1783/d. Jun.11, 1860) md. Elizabeth Kerbe/Kirby {See Family Links below}
7) John (b. Mar.23, 1785/d. Mar.11, 1857) md. Catharine Passy {See Family Links below}
8) Maria Eve (b. 1787/d.?) md. ?
9) Elizabeth (b. May 6, 1789/d. July 17, 1854){Apparently never married. Went with brothers to Knox County, Ohio}
10) Peter* {Previous Zollman/Zolman genealogical research has this possible 10th child of Johann Adam Zollman named Peter misidentified with the Peter Zolman of 1802-1883 who married Lucinda Spear(s) and was the son of Philip (being the son of Johann Adam) and Elizabeth Zolman. Positive identification of the 10th child of Johann Adam is still pending.}
*December 2014 Update: Another headstone has been located in this Zollman Cemetery with the inscription of Johannis Zolman with German inscriptions. This is most likely the tenth child of Adam & Susannah the Zollman/Zolman Genealogists have been trying to identify correctly. Great find Find-a-Grave Contributor Sarah JBF!
