Willie Shealy Westmoreland went home to be with the Lord peacefully Friday, February 22, 2013 while spending time with her husband and family.
A memorial service to celebrate the life of Willie will be at 3 p.m., Wednesday, February 27, at Clover Presbyterian Church. A private burial will be held prior to the service at Woodside Cemetery.
Willie was born June 9, 1929 in Sharon and was the daughter of the late James Willie Shealy and Addie Bouknight Shealy. She graduated from Winthrop in 1950 and came to Clover and taught school in Clover where she met her husband, James D. Westmoreland. They were married 60 years on November 2, 2012. Willie was a homemaker for years while they raised their 4 children. She was a loving wife, mother and friend and loved all of her family and friends dearly. She was a bookkeeper and partner with her husband, Jim at Clover Builders Supply and Westmoreland Construction Co. Willie was an active member of Clover Presbyterian Church where she served in many capacities, some of which were Sunday School Teacher, Women of the Church, and Elder. She had a special place in her heart for the Missions of the Church.
