Surviving are a son, William G. Hinton of Clinton, Md.; two brothers, Herbert Clarke of Baltimore, Md. and Raymond Clarke of Farnham; two sisters, Edna C. Elmore of Farnham and Myrtle C. Thomas of Heathsville; three grandchildren, Catherine E. Beatty of Gaithersburg, Md., William G. Hinton, III of Waldorf, Md. and Julie L. Hinton-Barton of Chesapeake Beach, Md.; four great-grandchildren, William Hessier Hinton, Christina Joy Hinton,. Edward William Barton and Andrew Tyler-Barton.
Funeral service were held August 26 at Calvary United Methodist Church, Emmerton with Rev. Richard B. Sisson officiating. Interment was in the church cemetery.
Pallbearers were William Hinton, III,. William Hessler IlI, Al Beatty. Edward Barton, Earl Ray Thomas and David DeMarr.
