Ida was widowed four times...The first marriage was to Charles M Garrels, they had one son Charles Henry Garrels. The second marriage was to William M McCord, they had two children, John William (Bill) McCord and Caroline Emmaline (Carrie) McCord. The third marriage was to Melvin Boles and the fourth marriage was to Elam Boles, brother of Melvin. The marriage to Elam was one that family members remember. He invited her to come to Arizona to help as the ranch cook and keep house for him after his brother Melvin died in 1899 after only 4 months of marriage. She came to Arizona and brought her 3 children. She worked at the ranch in Payson Arizona for 3 years then married Elam in 1902. They had one son, Eddie in 1904.
