Mrs. Clara BARTON died at Witham Hospital Thursday at 1:45 p.m. at Lebanon. She was born July 18, 1885 in Waveland, daughter of Mort and Sarah Nicholson YOUNT. She married Harry Harvey (John Harvey) Barton July 18, 1905 at Waveland. He preceded her in death. Mrs. Barton moved to Lebanon in 1924. Prior to that time she lived at Waveland. She had made her home with a daughter, Mrs. Eleanor Whittinghill for 14 years. She was a member of Waveland Methodist Church and Rebekah Lodge, Zionsville. Survivors include Mrs. Whittinghill, R.R. Thorntown; Mildred Lawton, Crawfordsville; Mrs. Mary Lynch, Indianapolis; Clarence, Lebanon; Frank, Jamestown; John, Whitestown; Charles, Waynetown; a sister, Mrs. Nettie McNeely of Crawfordsville; brother Harry of Waveland; 23 grandchildren and 9 greats. She was preceded in death by a daughter. Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at Russell & Hitch Funeral Home, Thorntown, Rev. Marion Gaston in charge; burial in Old Union Cemetery near Waveland.
